Carnegie Mellon Silicon Valley Beware Group is conducting a research study about human activity recognition based on mobile sensor data. The goal of this research study is to understand peoples daily activities from data collected by their smart phones.
Accessing your full lifelog: Click "Life Stream" in the main screen of MobiSens, then use the username and password shown in the app to log in http://www.lifelogger.info.
This application is created to collect data from the embedded sensors in the iPhone including Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Gyroscope (If available), Ambient Light sensor, GPS and Compass. The application will also collect power consumption and Mac address as well as signal strength of surrounding WIFI access points. These data will only be used for the purpose of this particular research project. We will not collect any identify information such as user name, phone number or email address from your phone.
Participating in this study may not benefit you directly, but the knowledge received may be of value to humanity.
The information you will share with us if you participate in this study will be kept completely confidential to the full extent of the law. Your information will be assigned a code number that is unique to this study. You consent form will be kept in a locked location in Carnegie Mellon University and will not be disclosed to third parties. Only the authorized researchers will be able to access data collected from you.
(Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.)
